NFL DFS for Wild Card Round: Optimal DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy football picks and lineups

The 2019 NFL Playoffs are officially here, and NFL DFS players have plenty to look forward to. FanDuel is running an $800,000 NFL Playoff Special, while DraftKings is holding a $1.5 million Fantasy Football Quarter Millionaire. With a small slate and several injury questions, setting your optimal NFL DFS lineups could be a challenge. Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will play despite bruised ribs against the Bears, but against a fierce defense led by linebacker Khalil Mack, can you trust the reigning Super Bowl MVP on Sunday? Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) will likely suit up for the Colts on Saturday, but he’s been banged up for weeks and hasn’t practiced. How effective will he be against the Texans on Saturday, and is Hilton one of the NFL DFS picks you should target? Before you lock in any Wild Card NFL DFS rosters, make sure to check out the top NFL DFS strategy and advice from SportsLine’s Mike McClure. He’s earned almost $2 million in his professional DFS career.

McClure uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every snap of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best values and create optimal NFL DFS lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NFL DFS player.

McClure is rolling through the 2018 season thanks to some spot-on picks. In Week 1, his optimal NFL DFS lineups finished in the top 3 percent of tournaments on DraftKings and the top 1 percent of tournaments on FanDuel. In Week 4, he finished in the top 2 percent on DraftKings and top 6 percent on FanDuel. In Week 5, his lineups cashed with ease on both sites. In Week 8, his followers saw massive returns, with his DraftKings lineup finishing in the top 1 percent of all tournaments, while his Week 9 lineup cashed with ease on FanDuel.

He cashed yet again on both sites in Week 10, and then his optimal lineup on FanDuel returned almost 3x in Weeks 11, 12 and 13. He followed that up with yet another cash on DraftKings tournaments in Week 15, and then finished in the top 0.1 percent of tournaments on FanDuel and inside the top 5 percent on DraftKings in Week 16. Anyone who has followed him is way, way up.

For the Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs, we can tell you McClure is banking on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott at $7,700 on FanDuel and $5,500 on DraftKings as he takes on the Seahawks on Saturday at 4:35 p.m. ET. Prescott had perhaps his best game of the season in Week 17, shredding the Giants for 387 yards and four touchdowns. He has also scored six times on the ground this season, raising his ceiling in NFL DFS.

McClure’s optimal NFL DFS advice includes rostering Seahawks running back Chris Carson ($7,500 on FanDuel, $6,800 on DraftKings).

Carson has become a true bell-cow back in Seattle, and his performance down the stretch made him the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for December. In his last four games of the season, Carson rushed for 447 yards on 90 carries with five touchdowns. The Seahawks gave him at least 20 touches in every December game and already used him as a battering ram against the Cowboys back in Week 3.

In that game, Carson carried the rock 32 times and also chipped in two catches for 22 yards, finishing with 124 yards from scrimmage and a score. Even against a strong Cowboys run defense, that volume can’t be ignored, especially on a small slate. He’s one of the top players who needs to be in your NFL DFS lineups for Wild Card Weekend.

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers during the Wild Card Round because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
