Toronto Blue Jays cut infielder Yangervis Solarte

TORONTO (AP) — Infielder Yangervis Solarte was not offered a 2019 contract by the Toronto Blue Jays, allowing him to become a free agent.

The 31-year-old hit a career-low .226 this year with 17 homers and 54 RBIs. He earned $4 million in the final season of a $7.5 million, two-year contract.
